Located in Ribeira Grande, Portugal, the House on the Flight of Birds is in a unique class of its own. Since showers and winds are frequent in the area, the first design was to block these winds with a wall and offer diverse patios and covers courtyards to protect against rain. The patios and courtyards also open all living spaces to the natural green by glass walls which receded from the exterior. Architecture by Bernardo Rodrigues.
