Celebrity Cassette Tape Portraits

Erika Iris Simmons uses old cassette tapes to create incredibly artistic celebrity portraits. She has blended the concerns and methods of conceptual art with craft-making and popular culture to create her own installations using icons such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, Bob Dylan and Debbie Harry of Blondie. Pretty dope. You can check out more works from Erika Iris Simons here.

New Music From Cherokee

Cherokee is a French electronic group. Launched in 2011 by Terence and Dorian, the duo heads for a House sound recalling the French electronic productions of the late 90's. Their sound is real groovy and laid back. Perfect to get the party started. I'm really digging their sound. You can get more music updates, originals and remixes from Cherokee on Twitter and SoundCloud. Enjoy.

CC House

The two volume CC House is located on the top hill of Playa Misterio, a gated beach community just south of Lima, Peru. One cube built with exposed concrete comes from the earth while the second one is made from glass and appears to be "floating" on the site. Alongside is a great concrete/glass swimming pool. The concrete block houses the social area of the dwelling in its lower levels and the master bedroom at the top. Also the soft look of the glass brings in a light and shadow effects during different hours of the day. Architecture by Longhi Architects.

It's not a text sticker on a glass wall, nor a text added in Photoshop. London-based graphic designer Joseph Egan together with his colleagues from Chelsea College of Art & Design created eye deceiving typography using a projection called Anamorphosis. This is very cool art. Very creative. You can check out more works from Joseph Egan here.
